Indie Lee calendula eye balm review

My obsession with balms is spreading to all aspects of my skincare, I already have have balms for my body, balms for my face and lot's of healing and multi-purpose balms so I am very excited today to be bringing you a balm for your eyes, yes that's right an eye cream in form of a balm, I was so excited when I saw this product as part of the Indie Lee collection that I couldn't wait to try it out.

The Indie Lee Calendula eye balm is a completely natural and waterless product that is packed full of really nourishing ingredients, if you are struggling with dry skin around your eye area this product will be your saviour. The ingredients list of this product sang to me when I first saw it, calendula is the star ingredient and is well known for it's soothing and healing properties, add to this mango seed butter, beeswax, squalane and lavender oil and you know your eyes are in for a treat. 

I use this as a night time treatment, it heals any dry patches of skin and keeps the eyes looking bright and fresh. At first I was unsure if this would tackle my dark circles especially since the eye cream I use in the day really packs a punch in that department but I have been pleasantly surprised at the brightening effect this has due to the mango seed butter. I do quite often use this in the day time too but it really depends on how thirsty my skin is feeling at the time. This has got to be one of those eye products that will never end, because you need a really small amount for both eyes, in fact I just dab my finger in to the pot and a little goes a really long way. I like to take my time to pat this gently all around the eye starting on the orbital bone and working my way around concentrating on any dry patches. 

If you haven't come across Indie Lee's range before you really must read her story, it is as inspirational as the line she has produced, Indie herself survived a brain tumour which is thought to be brought on by environmental toxins and went on to create her line which is full of very simple but incredibly effective ingredients. I have previously raved about the Indie Lee squalane oil (see my review here) and the eye balm has become another staple product in my routine, I think this range has an amazing capsule collection of skincare that delivers on it's promises and won't break the bank.
