The Yogi Tea #7Minuteschallenge (Sponsored)

**This post is sponsored by Yogi Tea**

Life is hectic and it can be a challenge to find time for ourselves. As a busy, work from home mum, I try to incorporate short moments in to my day to rest, focus or even pamper myself. These small moments of calm have become even more important since I had my second child, life with a toddler can be full on, so I need to find small ways to reset and unwind. For this reason I am delighted to team up with Ayurvedic tea brand Yogi Tea to bring you one of my favourite pamper routines in their #7Minuteschallenge. Read all about the challenge on the Yogi Tea Blog

New in: Tisserand Essential oils

I am big fan of using aromatherapy oils in my home, whether it's for scent, their therapeutic properties or in my beauty routine. I have my diffuser on most days and I love trying different essential oils blends with different brands as I do find this is one area where choosing a good quality, trusted brand pays off. Essential oils can be adulterated and sold as the real thing, so it is important to shop wisely.

Big business and the ethical brand buyouts - Bad news for ethical consumers?

The trend for larger corporations buying up smaller, independent businesses has created something of a social media storm in recent months and it is a shift that shows no signs of slowing down. In an era where customers can have a visible and direct conversation with brands through social media platforms such as Facebook, this is resulting in a lot of unhappy feedback, some of it incredibly vocal. It would seem that for many consumers who are driven by company ethics, this is an unwelcome development.

The plastic challenge: How to reduce the plastic in your home

Plastics are everywhere and are undoubtedly one of the biggest environmental concerns of our time. Some scientists estimate that we will have more plastic than fish in our Oceans by the year 2050 (Source: Guardian 2016), an absolutely horrifying thought, but this is a problem that we all contribute to and we all have the possibility to change. So why are plastics specifically such an issue?

Earthwise Cloth pads review

If you have been reading this blog for a while you will know I am a big fan of making small changes that can really add up. One of my favourite changes, both for the environment and my own health is using reusable menstrual products.

Just for Tummies Live Bacteria review

When it comes to supplementation I like to keep things really rather simple, firstly because I think that taking too many products can sometimes be counter productive but also because let's be honest things can get rather pricey if you go overboard. I have been consistently supplementing with Omega 3 for months now, I really believe it makes a big difference to my skin and overall health, however during pregnancy I developed some digestive issues that I was looking for a solution to, and probiotics kept coming up in my research.

Simple swaps for a zero waste beauty routine

There really are lot's of simple ways to create less waste. We can use natural products and the purest ingredients, but if our beauty routine remains unnecessarily wasteful then I don't think it can ever be truly green. I have been really inspired by lot's of zero waste blogs and books lately, but I will admit some of their suggestions take things a little too far, for example you won't be finding me grinding burnt almonds to make eye liner any time soon! I fully accept that I am never going to be a minimalist in my beauty routine but there are some simple changes I have implemented to reduce waste. Here are the swaps that I find the most helpful, they are easy and they are sustainable over time as well as being good for your pocket, because they should save money in the long run. Wasting less shouldn't make life more complicated, in fact the opposite is true!

Reusable Cloth Sanitary pads from Bloom and Nora

Had you asked me pre baby if I would be up for using reusable menstrual products my answer would have undoubtedly been a resounding no. However having had two children in cloth nappies and having seen the wonderful benefits, when I was approached by Bloom and Nora to try their new range of cloth sanitary pads my mind was more than open to the idea. I actually started to look in to reusable menstrual products before I got pregnant with Baby Green, I had made so many other successful changes in my life that this seemed like a logical progression.

Eight ways to have a more conscious holiday season

This time of year is full of hustle, bustle and stress as well as joy and for some sadness. Whilst I love time spent with loved ones, the joy on my sons face on Christmas morning and making memories, I do find the pace of the holiday season can make even those who live the most conscious of lives go a little off track.

New in: Alchemy Organic super blends

Superfoods are nothing new in themselves, for the past few years a new food of the moment comes up pretty much every month. Whilst I am a firm believer in real, whole foods rather than fads, I also like the convenience of powders for adding extra nutrition to juices and smoothies.

Believe Beauty breakfast cereal from Fushi

Can a cereal be beautifying? Whilst there is of course a strong link between what we eat and our skin I did initially struggle with the marketing of this Believe Beauty breakfast cereal* (£4.50 for 450 grams) by Fushi Wellbeing. However after trying the product regardless of it's beauty claims I have to say I think this is a fabulous and very tasty cereal.

Taking the One good thing challenge with Minvita

When I was approached about taking part in the Minvita One good thing challenge, I was immediately excited, it works on the principle of adding in good things to crowd out the not so good choices.

Easy cleaning naturally with Greenscents

I am in love with new brand, they don't have the latest lipstick or shiny new moisturiser but their products have revolutionised my cleaning regime and the green credentials are better than many cosmetic brands.

The energy booster: Viridian Qi-Ribose

Whilst this blog is primarily beauty based I do talk about other subjects including supplements and healthy living. For me when I choose my supplements carefully and make time to take them I always know I am on the right track, the one of self care rather than sabotage.

Current Fitness and Wellness favourites

January is a funny month, so many of us get gung ho about a new fitness trend and swear that we will be running a marathon in six weeks, but by mid January the previous packed Gyms start to empty out as people slowly but surely give up.
