Eight ways to have a more conscious holiday season

This time of year is full of hustle, bustle and stress as well as joy and for some sadness. Whilst I love time spent with loved ones, the joy on my sons face on Christmas morning and making memories, I do find the pace of the holiday season can make even those who live the most conscious of lives go a little off track.

I think candles and home fragrance make excellent gifts, let's face it good quality candles can be a bit of a luxury but they add so much warmth and ambiance to a room. When I posted a photo on instagram of this range that is freshly landed in the UK this month, it attracted it's fair share of nice comments and I have to say I do think it is a real crowd pleaser of a range. A Beautiful world has built a reputation on scouting out ranges that are a little different, and Youth to the People is in fact exclusive to them in the UK.

I find men on the whole quite hard to buy presents for, although all of these products would make great Christmas gifts or stocking fillers they would be perfect for the men in your life all year round.

Lulu and boo is a brand that I have been a customer of for a while. Back last year I purchased a cleansing balm and an eye gel, both of which I loved so imagine my excitement when I got an email about their latest release.

Uma oils review

I have an extremely overdue review for you today, I have been testing these products from Uma oils since August now so am ready to weigh in and give my thoughts. Uma has developed a bit of a cult following, when they got in touch I had already seen several rave reviews on US based beauty blogs and the brand had landed at Cult Beauty in the UK, always a positive sign. 

Bodhi and Birch and the Heartwood Candle company collaboration

I am absolutely in love with the collaboration between two of my favourite brands; Heartwood Candle company and Bodhi and Birch. A few months ago I paired the Chamomile, Lavender and Rose candle with Bodhi and Birch Camomile sky bath and shower therapy, they complemented each other so well and the result was so heavenly I contacted Elijah Choo the founder of Bodhi and Birch to let him know how much I loved it.

Months ago I was approached by Abi Dean the founder of an interesting home care brand called EcoDiva. I have now been using this awesome multi-purpose cleaner since June, all around my home and am delighted to share it with you as well.

Pregnancy update: The first 16 weeks

Believe Beauty breakfast cereal from Fushi

Can a cereal be beautifying? Whilst there is of course a strong link between what we eat and our skin I did initially struggle with the marketing of this Believe Beauty breakfast cereal* (£4.50 for 450 grams) by Fushi Wellbeing. However after trying the product regardless of it's beauty claims I have to say I think this is a fabulous and very tasty cereal.
