I have raved about the brand Viridian before, months down the line and whilst I have somewhat streamlined the amount of supplements I take the Clear skin complex has been a repurchase and continues to help my skin on a monthly basis. Today's post however is about another absolute gem of a product from Viridian, the Organic Calming Moisture balm.
I was aware that Viridian had added a few skincare products to the range but I hadn't tried any of them yet, but as I had been so happy with their supplements I was more than happy to try this balm as it sounded perfect for my skin type. I tend to have quite problematic skin with a tendency to dryness on my cheeks so I love gentle multi-purpose balms that calm, soothe and hydrate. Most balms I own are strictly for use on the body, but this is definitely more suited to the face as it has such nice ingredients, it has been a staple in my skincare routine now for a couple of months and I can't fault it, it absolutely lives up to it's calming claims and works wonders on stressed and dry skin, you only need a really small amount to I think this pot will be lasting me forever.
The Calming moisture balm ticks all of the boxes, made with 100% organic ingredients certified by the Soil Association this blend includes all my favourite ingredients, Rose hip fruit oil is nourishing and aids skin regeneration, coconut oil is a wonderful moisturiser and it also has sweet almond oil and pomegranate seed oil making it really nourishing for dry skin. It is very lightly scented with a soothing mix of Rose and geranium but is also contains blue chamomile and lavender for their soothing properties. This tackles redness like no other product I use so if my skin is very red and sore, which it can be, I always gravitate towards this and my skin always looks and feels better after use. I thought that due to the ingredients it may take a little while for this to absorb but I was surprised by how light it is for a balm, the key is to use it very sparingly as you can always add more later on, that way your skin won't feel heavy from too much product.
I have said it before but you can't really beat Viridian's ethics, their ingredients policies are superb, they are environmentally conscious as a brand and donate a portion of their profits to charity, there is a whole section on the website about the variety of charities they support. If you after a brand with impeccable ingredients policy and ethics Viridian is one of the best on the market. I can't recommend this product highly enough, it has for me performed far better than products costing almost four times as much so needless to say I think it's one of those products I will repurchase again and again, total beauty staple.

This product looks fantastic! I am currently loving balms at the moment so this is going to have to go on my wishlist :)
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing Amber, best balm I have ever used, I had a sample of the very expensive "Blue Cocoon" from May Lindstrom and this balm outperforms it as far as I am concerned and for a lot less money! Really good stuff :) Xx
DeleteI didn't even know that Viridian did skincare, I've only ever bought supplements from them. This sounds great - my main skin issues are redness and dry patches, so I'll definitely be giving this a try :-) x
ReplyDeleteThey have this balm and some oils. one for face one for body I think, this balm is superb so I am now tempted by the oil too :) Xx
DeleteI love it when you really, really love a product and the company lines up with wonderful ethics like this- it doesn't happen enough. Great review, I would love to try this out... I get red skin sometimes too, I think it's the Irish in me! Swoon, love it! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI agree it's very satisfying when it happens, I was trying to find something I don't like about Viridian or the product so it wasn't such a glowing review but honestly there wasn't anything! :) Xx
DeleteI didn't know that they did skincare! I really like the Clear Skin Complex too and take them when I'm having a bad skin day/week. They kindly contributed to the Northampton Blogger Meet with some of their Coconut Oil & supplements which I'm looking forward to trying. This balm sounds lovely though I absolutely adore using balms/gels on my face they just seem so much more nourishing and hydrating! xx
ReplyDeleteThis is wonderful and very hydrating, they only have a small selection but they have a lovely looking face oil and this balm both great products by the looks of them. Enjoy the coconut oil and supplements I look forward to hearing your thoughts! :) Xx
