The Apothecary range - Amanda Sourin for Harris distillery (Prices from £8) As a fan of Amanda's creations for myself I was really excited to introduce Mr Green to this range, but I will confess I tested it out myself for a while first! The collaboration is centred on the ingredients from the beautiful Isle of Harris, Amanda distils the ingredients herself in her copper alembic and the products capture the life and the spirit of the Island. There is a beautiful shaving soap with Olive and coconut oils, an aftershave balm with Heather and thyme that calms and softens the skin and even a cologne to delight the senses. Mr Green was impressed with the craftsmanship and story of the brand too.
Ishga - New range for men (Prices from £25) A luxe offering from Ishga who have three newly launched products for men, An exfoliating wash, the Men's Marine cream and the Beard and shave oil. Particularly impressive is the Beard and shave oil for which a little goes a long way and Mr Green thought was brilliant. The exfoliating wash was also a hit with particles that feel like they are working without being too abrasive. The scents all have a masculine edge but are not overpowering and the packaging is both practical and stylish. Ishga products are made with organic ingredients and infused with pure seaweed extract from the Scottish Hebrides.
Fair Squared - Unisex toiletries (Prices from £2.39) Lastly we have Fair Squared a brand with impressive ethics and price point. The products have an impressive list of certifications including vegan, fairtrade, Natrue certified and more. The products Mr Green tested performed well and were fuss free, if budget is an issue these are exceptionally good for what you pay. Recommended stocking fillers would be the shower gel and shave oils.
Three green ranges for the men in your life, which one takes your fancy?
