I adore body oils for so many reasons, their moisturising properties, the ritual of applying them as I get out of the shower, their healing and regenerating properties and how beautiful my skin looks after I have applied them. The body oil I have to show you today is perhaps the Rolls Royce of oils, having said that considering how much I truly have adored every Therapie product I have tried so far (see more here) it's really no surprise to me that the Cherish Skin repair serum* (£44 for 200 mls) has also absolutely blown me away. The ingredients list is truly a thing of beauty with grapeseed, rosehip, argan oil. broccoli seed oil, pumpkin seed oil, red raspberry seed oil... the list goes on and on. The blend uses lot's of organic oils and some CO2 extracts too, the ingredients are absolutely the best I have ever seen in any body oil and that is reflected in the performance. In case you haven't heard of the brand before then Therapie is the creation of the amazingly talented Michelle Roques O'Neil an aromatherapist with years of experience in the industry and as well as creating Therapie her own range of holistic products which draw on aromatherapy, she also collaborates with other brands including De Mamiel which is another true favourite of mine.
The cherish serum comes in this gorgeous miron glass bottle with a pump, the miron glass protects the precious ingredients inside from the UV light. This absorbs exceptionally fast, so fast that if you don't like to hang about before being able to get dressed as long then this is definitely for you. This blend is wonderful for fading marks and scars including stretch marks, that is thanks to the high amount of rosehip and other quality ingredients it contains, once you see the beautiful deep yellow/orange colour you know you are dealing with the best. It leaves behind a light slightly warming scent on the skin, the name Cherish really suits this product because it is what I would call warm and comforting, a bit like getting a hug from a loved one. If you are after good quality ingredients Therapie is truly stunning, at first look the £44 price tag may seem a little steep, but looking at the ingredients and breaking it down to £22 per 100 mls it really isn't as expensive as some of the other brands out there for what are some of the best ingredients for any body product I own.
I absolutely love what Therapie have to say about this product: "Why can't you Cherish the skin you are in and lavish it with the same attention you give to your face?" Why not indeed, when you have products like this you will want to take care of your body just as much as your face. I am hoping that one day Michelle will expand the range to include facial serums too, if they are as good as this body serum I will be first in line. You can find therapy on their website, Cult Beauty and Content.
