A little while ago I was lucky enough to win a Limited edition and sold out bronzing palette from Dr Hauschka courtesy of the lovely ladies at I am into this I know it is perhaps a bit cruel to write about this beauty when you can't get your hands on it any more, but I have a feeling that the lovely people at Dr Hauschka will release this again next spring (or at least I really hope so!).
Dr Hauschka is a brand with a long standing history in the natural beauty world, it is well known for it's skincare products such as the cult Rose day cream, but after trying this palette I have had a look at it's make up selection and I think it has some real hidden gems including some beautiful looking lipsticks in the Play of light collection.
The palette itself is quite large and very sturdy with a really good sized mirror, great for application on the go. The brush that is included is surprisingly soft, and I have to be honest I never use the brushes included in palettes so that was a lovely surprise.
The colour is for cool toned skin, I would consider myself quite neutral but this works really well on my skin. One side is slightly lighter and matte and the other has shimmer meaning you can use them separately and together too. I gave up on swatching this in the end because the photos just didn't do it justice, this is the kind of product that whilst it isn't madly pigmented gives a beautiful bronzed look to the skin. When I first applied it I did a double take in the mirror, it was one of those oohh that looks nice moments, where your skin looks great but the product itself isn't obvious on the skin.
This is perfect for me as my make up application skills are not the best, because it really is pretty fool proof. You don't need to be an expert to apply it and it is quite hard (although not impossible!) to apply too much. I have tried a variety of brushes and it has worked well with all of them as well as the one included.
This hasn't left my make up bag since it arrived and has really made me take a second look at what the brand has to offer, big thank you to Sam and Teresa and the lovely people at Dr Hauschka for such a great give away, I was delighted to win!

DeleteI love a good bronzer and I cannot find a good organic one but this one sounds amazing too bad it is limited edition. I have a dr. Hauschka eyepencil and lipstick and love them both :) xx
